I was excited to read Don’t You Cry by Mary Kubica. The story starts out set in downtown Chicago, Quinn Collins comes home after a night of partying to find that her roommate Esther Vaughn has gone missing without a trace. A series of events and a haunting letter addressed to My Dearest, leaves Quinn wondering if she really knows her roommate and friend at all.
Meanwhile, in a small Michigan town, Alex Gallo is smitten by the mysterious woman that appears in the coffee shop that he works at. We quickly learn that eighteen-year old Alex lives with his alcoholic father and was abandoned by his mother at a young age. Alex is drawn to the mystery woman and his innocent crush quickly turns into more than he can handle.
As Quinn searches for answers about Esther and Alex is drawn further into the stranger’s spell, you can’t help but get pulled into this suspense filled thriller. You will not want to put this book down until you are finished with it!
